Agadir Wali presides over Mawlid al-Nabi religious ceremony

Saïd Amzazi, the Wali of the Souss-Massa region and Governor of Agadir-Ida Outanane, presided over a religious ceremony in Agadir to commemorate Mawlid al-Nabi (the Prophet's Birthday). The event took place on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Mohammed VI Mosque in the Hay Salam neighborhood.

The ceremony was attended by security officials, elected representatives, heads of decentralized services, and various local figures. The program included Quranic recitations by Imam Mohad Azouileh, followed by Maghrib prayers and the chanting of prophetic praises.

Moulay Mohammed Idrissi Tahiri, a member of the Scientific Council, delivered a religious lesson reflecting on the values of brotherhood, compassion, and tolerance derived from the life of the Prophet. The event concluded with Isha prayers and prayers for the health and prosperity of King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan Royal Family.
