Agar Malwa police arrest suspect in jewelry merchant robbery

Police in Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh, have arrested an additional suspect in connection with a robbery involving a jewelry merchant in Nalkheda. This arrest marks a significant step in a case that occurred on May 23, 2025, when criminals in an unregistered Bolero intercepted the merchant and an employee, stealing gold, silver, and cash.

The latest suspect was apprehended for purchasing the stolen silver and melting it down into ingots. Authorities recovered 5.985 kilograms of silver ingots from his possession. To date, the investigation has led to the arrest of eight suspects, including two in Rajasthan. Total recoveries in the case include 14.125 kilograms of silver and two unregistered Bolero vehicles. Police are continuing their search for the remaining suspects and any outstanding stolen goods.
