Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge to undergo $33-million upgrade
The Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge will undergo a $33-million rehabilitation project starting this fall to address structural steel and concrete deterioration and improve drainage. The provincial government has awarded the contract to Graham Infrastructure LP. The upgrades, which include replacing deck extension joints and recoating the structure, are expected to extend the bridge’s lifespan by approximately 50 years.
Construction is slated to begin as early as September 21, 2026. While much of the work will occur underneath the bridge, drivers should expect potential delays of up to 15 minutes. Traffic patterns may include nightly lane closures or single-lane alternating traffic, particularly during overnight hours or winter months. Drivers may consider detouring via the Mission Bridge to avoid disruptions.
