Agatha Christie remains one of the most influential figures in literary history, with sales second only to William Shakespeare. Christie’s personal life was marked by significant upheaval, including the betrayal of her first husband, Archibald Christie, and a mysterious eleven-day disappearance in 1926. During this period, her car was found abandoned, and she was eventually located at a hotel in Yorkshire, having registered under her husband’s mistress’s name. She later attributed this period to trauma-induced amnesia.
