Agbele-Asa community installs first traditional ruler

Rahmon Ajibade Abisekan has been installed as the Alagbele of Agbele-Asa Kingdom in the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The installation ceremony, held at the Local Government Primary School field in Asa, marks the end of a decades-long effort by the border community to achieve traditional and administrative recognition.

Dr. Rotimi-Olu Akinlesi, representing the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, presented the staff of office and instrument of appointment. Community leaders expressed that the new monarchy is expected to facilitate infrastructure and socio-economic development within the region.
