Agcom investigates secondary ticketing for Oasis concerts in Rome

Italy’s Communications Authority, Agcom, has launched an investigation into illegal secondary ticketing practices ahead of three Oasis concerts scheduled for July 26, 29, and 30, 2027, at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.

The probe follows a complaint by the consumer association Codacons, which reported that tickets were being resold on unofficial platforms for between 5,000 and 7,000 euros, with some reaching nearly 10,000 euros. This represents a markup of over 1,400 percent compared to the most expensive official ticket, the ‘Pre-Show Fan Experience’, which is priced at 651.36 euros.

Agcom is conducting preliminary inquiries to identify conduct likely linked to illicit secondary ticketing under Italian anti-scalping laws. The investigation aims to determine responsibilities and may lead to administrative sanctions ranging from 5,000 to 180,000 euros, or the direct blocking of offending websites.
