Ageman notifies Águas de Manaus over prolonged water outage

The Regulatory Agency for Delegated Public Services of the Municipality of Manaus (Ageman) has formally notified the concessionaire Águas de Manaus following a prolonged water supply interruption in the Morro da Liberdade neighborhood. The issue was reported on September 18, with residents stating a property had been without water for approximately ten days despite five previous service protocols being registered with the company.

Although Águas de Manaus initially stated a technical team would be dispatched, the interruption exceeded 15 days by September 22 without resolution. Ageman has ordered the company to take immediate technical measures to identify the cause and restore service. The concessionaire has 24 hours to provide a diagnostic report, proof of technical visits, and a history of service protocols. Failure to comply or provide sufficient information may result in administrative sanctions.
