Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services denies TV 24 allegations
The Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AAAVMS) has rejected allegations from TV 24 that the regulator acted illegally by outsourcing studies used to justify a public tender for television services. The Agency maintains that these studies were professionally prepared based on relevant methodological foundations.
In response to the dispute, TV 24 filed a criminal complaint against the Director of the Agency, Zoran Trajchevski. The complaint alleges abuse of official position, improper work performance, and the obstruction of competition. The legal team for TV 24 has also requested an investigation into the potential existence of a criminal association.
The Agency countered that its procurement processes have been subject to previous audits and court proceedings without finding any legal weaknesses. It noted that both the Administrative Court and the Higher Administrative Court have previously upheld the legality of the Agency’s actions in similar matters.
