Agensi Rumah Tangga film adaptation set for September 2026 release

The Indonesian film ‘Agensi Rumah Tangga’, directed by Naya Anindita, is scheduled to be released in cinemas on September 10, 2026. Adapted from the bestselling novel by Almira Bastari, the comedy-drama explores themes of family, work, and the unique relationships between employers and domestic workers.

The story follows Katia, played by Enzy Storia, a former startup employee whose life changes after being laid off. Facing mortgage payments and pressure from her mother, Katia decides to start her own business: a domestic worker agency operated from her home. As she matches domestic workers with employers, she develops deep, familial bonds with the staff, eventually facing a difficult choice between her business and her professional aspirations.
