Agentic AI Foundation announces AGNTCon + MCPCon Japan 2026
The Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF), hosted by The Linux Foundation, has announced the official schedule for AGNTCon + MCPCon Japan 2026. The two-day conference is set to take place on September 10–11, 2026, at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Tokyo.
The event aims to bring together developers, researchers, and industry leaders to address the technical requirements for transitioning AI agents from experimental projects to reliable, production-ready systems. With more than 40 sessions planned, the program will focus on critical challenges such as multi-agent coordination, tool integration, security, observability, and enterprise governance.
Key technical areas of discussion include the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting agents to external services, the establishment of trust boundaries during agent interactions, and the implementation of audit trails and approval gates. The conference emphasizes the use of open-source technologies to build vendor-neutral infrastructure and standards for the Asia-Pacific developer ecosystem.
