Agents Rurals to relocate to Les Gavarres station by 2029

The Regional Area of the Rural Agents (Agents Rurals) is scheduled to relocate to the former Mossos d'Esquadra station in Les Gavarres by 2029. The public company Infraestructures.cat has launched a tender for the design and construction management of the building's comprehensive renovation. The project, which has a budget of approximately 194,000 euros for the design phase, aims to modernize the facility which has been vacant since 2011.

The renovation is estimated to cost roughly 1,160,452 euros. Key improvements include geothermal heating, facade replacement, and new climate control systems to address existing energy efficiency issues. The redesigned 2,246-square-meter facility will feature a control room, training rooms, a gym, and specialized spaces for seizures and administrative work. The new regional area will serve the territories of Alt Camp, Baix Camp, Baix Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat, and Tarragonès.
