Agenzia del Demanio tenders 20 state buildings for reuse

The Agenzia del Demanio has launched tenders for 20 state-owned buildings across various Italian regions to encourage investment, reuse, and regeneration. The initiative targets diverse sectors, including tourism, culture, housing, and the third sector, through various concession models such as valorization, temporary use, and subsidized concessions for non-profit entities.

Among the properties listed are historical and strategic sites such as the Gelso Lighthouse on Vulcano island, the Punta Cavazzi Lighthouse on Ustica, and several sites in Sicily including the Riposto signaling lighthouse and a former prison in Favignana. In Calabria, the tender includes the former San Francesco d'Assisi monastery in Stilo, the former Casa del Fascio in Ardore, and the former Guardia di Finanza headquarters in Roccella Ionica.

Other featured properties include the Post Office Palace in Piacenza, the Saliceta San Giuliano former prison in Modena, and the Forcola del Braulio barracks in Sondrio. The program aims to promote sustainable management models that generate positive impacts on local communities and territories while preserving historical and landscape value. The deadline for submitting offers for valorization concessions is December 11, 2026.
