Agetran begins road reorganization in Caiçara neighborhood
The Municipal Agency for Transport and Traffic (Agetran) has begun a new road reorganization in the Caiçara neighborhood of Campo Grande. The project aims to organize traffic, improve flow distribution, and increase safety for drivers, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
Key changes include the implementation of one-way traffic on Rua Melvin Jones and Rua Petrópolis, which will now function as an integrated system. Additionally, the first block of Rua São Jerônimo will allow two-way traffic to facilitate local access. Rua Aniceto da Costa Rondon is also undergoing signaling and circulation adjustments.
To enhance safety, Agetran has installed an elevated pedestrian crossing to assist crossings and reduce vehicle speeds. During the implementation of new signage and infrastructure, some streets may face temporary closures. Traffic agents will be present in the area to assist with the transition.
