AGF introduces audio commentary for blind football fans

The Danish football club AGF has launched a new audio descriptive commentary (ADC) service at Ceres Park Vejlby to make home matches more accessible to blind and visually impaired fans. The initiative, which premiered during a match against FC Midtjylland, allows fans to listen to specialized commentary via headphones to better experience the game and the stadium community.

The project is a collaborative effort involving Dansk Blindesamfund, Andelskassen, and Århus Stiftstidendes Fond, with technical support from Steady and Tonax. Currently, the service is available for free to the target group in specific sections of the main stand (A8 to A3).

AGF plans to expand this service to all sections of the stadium when the club moves to a new venue next year. Additionally, the club intends to make the live audio commentary available through the AGF app so fans can follow matches live from home.
