Aggelos 2 set for August 2026 release across multiple platforms

The retro action-RPG sequel Aggelos 2 is scheduled for release on August 27, 2026. The game will be available digitally on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Physical copies are planned for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

Aggelos 2 features a 16-bit visual style and a world approximately twice the size of the original game. Players can switch between two playable forms with unique abilities to navigate interconnected realms. The game offers Normal and Hard difficulty settings, with Hard mode doubling all damage.

A day-one patch has been detailed to address several technical issues at launch. Fixes include resolving invisible or missing colliders, correcting gameplay time displays, fixing texture rendering at screen edges, and addressing animation freezes in specific environments. The patch also aims to resolve minor lag on the Nintendo Switch and various UI or tutorial texture errors.
