Agglomération du Gard rhodanien expands transport network
The Agglomération du Gard rhodanien is expanding its public transport network to ensure coverage for all 44 of its communes. Starting September 1, new interurban shuttle lines will be introduced to complement existing services.
New lines 18, 19, and 31 are scheduled to enter service, while line 16 will be extended to serve Saint-Victor-la-Coste and Saint-Paul-les-Fonts. David Biallet, vice-president in charge of mobility, stated that 100% of the agglomeration's communes will now be covered by the transport offer.
The initiative aims to connect urban centers like Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Pont-Saint-Esprit with more rural areas, facilitating access to healthcare, public services, and multimodal hubs. To optimize resources, the plan utilizes existing school transport vehicles for additional service rotations between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
