Agios Dimiotrios stabbing: Suspect sent to prison psychiatric ward

A 23-year-old man has been transferred to the psychiatric ward of Korydallos Prison following a knife attack on an 18-year-old football player in Agios Dimiotrios. During questioning, the suspect reportedly claimed he has no memory of the incident.

The victim, who is currently being treated for head and back injuries, stated that the suspect approached him and demanded his belongings before attacking. While the suspect's side claims he suffers from psychological issues, authorities are investigating whether the motive was robbery. No prior criminal record was found for the suspect, and the weapon used in the attack has not yet been recovered.

The suspect was apprehended after a passerby noticed blood on his hands and alerted the police. The victim is expected to provide a formal statement once he has recovered.
