Agios Nikolaos Marina upgrade to be inaugurated

Agios Nikolaos Marina tourism infrastructure marina upgrade Recovery and Resilience Facility maritime tourism

The inauguration of the upgraded Agios Nikolaos Tourist Port and Marina is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 19:30. The project, implemented by DAEEAN, aims to enhance the functionality and quality of services provided at the marina, strengthening the region's maritime tourism prospects and its image as a modern destination.

The event will be attended by Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni, along with the Mayor of Agios Nikolaos Manolis Menegakis and the First Vice President of Parliament Ioannis Plakiotakis. The ceremony will include a guided tour of the new infrastructure and presentations regarding the specific interventions made to the site.

Funding for the project was provided by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) under the NextGenerationEU program.
