Agios Vasileios Municipality thanks businesses for aid to firefighters amid wildfire

The Municipality of Agios Vasileios in Greece expressed gratitude to local organisations that supported fire‑fighting crews battling a large wildfire in the area. Mayor Giannis Tatarakis highlighted contributions from the Rethymno Hospitality Association, which provided 300 meals, LIDL Greece, which supplied snacks, water and other consumables, and the Rethymno Pharmaceutical Association for medical supplies and assistance to vulnerable residents. The mayor stressed that the collective effort of people, professionals, enterprises and institutions demonstrates real societal solidarity. The municipality continues to coordinate assistance and urges anyone willing to help to contact the relevant local services.
