Agmer leaders to meet over teacher salaries and healthcare in Entre Ríos

The plenary of general secretaries of the Asociación Gremial del Magisterio de Entre Ríos (Agmer) is scheduled to meet in Villaguay to address critical issues regarding teacher salaries and the service levels of the Obra Social de Entre Ríos (OSER).

Agmer leader Abel Antivero has reported a profound process of impoverishment among educators, noting that many workers are facing debt and multiple jobs to survive. The union previously rejected a government salary offer, which they characterized as insufficient against inflation. While the government proposed a 7% increase in three stages, the union argued that the actual value lags significantly behind the cost of the poverty line basket.
