Agmer rejects Entre Ríos government salary offer
The Asociación Gremial del Magisterio de Entre Ríos (Agmer) has officially rejected the salary increase proposal offered by the provincial government of Entre Ríos. During an extraordinary congress held in Paraná, union members voted to declare the offer insufficient, stating it fails to account for inflation and deepens the loss of purchasing power for educators.
The government's proposal consisted of a cumulative increase of over 7%, structured in three stages: 3.5% for September, 1.5% for November, and 2% for December. While the administration noted that the base for calculation is updated monthly, the union argues that teachers' salaries remain significantly below the poverty line.
Following the rejection, Agmer has authorized its central leadership to continue its plan of struggle and execute necessary measures to demand a new proposal. The union is specifically requesting a salary recomposition that exceeds inflation rates, using December 2025 as a reference point moving forward.
