Agnė Bilotaitė resigns from Seimas and active politics

Agnė Bilotaitė, a member of the Seimas and former Minister of the Interior, has announced her decision to resign from her parliamentary mandate and withdraw from active political life. In a written request to the Central Electoral Commission (VRK), she requested the termination of her powers effective October 14.

Bilotaitė cited personal reasons for her departure, stating that the decision had been developing for some time. She noted that the need to prioritize her health and family requirements made it impossible to continue her intensive work in the Seimas. While stepping down from active politics, she will remain a member of the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD).

Laurynas Kasčiūnas, chairman of the TS-LKD, expressed gratitude for her long-term work and her service during difficult periods in the Ministry of the Interior. During the current term, Bilotaitė served on the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Parliamentary Committee for Control of Criminal Intelligence.
