Agoda establishes Bangkok as its largest global office

Agoda, an online travel platform under Booking Holdings, has designated its Bangkok office as its largest worldwide. The site employs more than 4,500 staff, representing over half of the company’s total global workforce of 8,000.

Serving as a Global Tech & Operations Hub, the Bangkok team focuses on developing software algorithms, artificial intelligence, and data analytics. These systems support a platform listing over 6 million properties across 200 countries and territories. The workforce in Bangkok includes more than 2,000 foreign specialists from over 80 countries, while over half of the staff are Thai nationals.

The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has provided investment promotion for the site’s International Business Center activity. BOI Secretary General Narit Therdsteerasukdi noted that the presence of Agoda helps build Thailand’s tech ecosystem through knowledge transfer and high-value-added activities.
