Agora to merge Gazeta.pl and Wyborcza.pl following major losses
Agora shareholders have approved a merger between the news portals Gazeta.pl and Wyborcza.pl. This decision follows significant financial losses reported for 2025, where the two entities combined saw a deficit of approximately 30 million PLN. Specifically, Gazeta.pl reported a loss of 13 million PLN on 105.8 million PLN in revenue, while Wyborcza.pl recorded a 17 million PLN loss on 183.6 million PLN in revenue.
The merger aims to simplify the corporate structure, reduce the duplication of administrative and operational functions, and increase overall efficiency. By integrating the two entities, Agora intends to streamline management, technology, sales, and settlement processes, while supporting a unified digital, subscription, and advertising offering for the group.
