Agostina Hein wins bronze and sets records at Pan Pacific Championships
Agostina Hein, an 18-year-old Argentine swimmer, secured a bronze medal in the 400-meter individual medley at the Pan Pacific Championships held in Irvine, United States. This achievement marks the first time an Argentine swimmer has medaled in the history of this competition.
Hein finished the race with a time of 4:32.54, setting new South American and Argentine national records. This performance improved upon her previous continental record of 4:34.34 set during the 2025 Junior World Championships.
The podium was completed by Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh, who took gold with a time of 4:28.01, and Australian Jenna Forrester, who earned silver with a time of 4:31.50.
