Agostina Vega femicide case widens as bar owner and accomplices face new charges

The murder of 14‑year‑old Agostina Vega in Córdoba has deepened, with investigators focusing on a network of suspects linked to the crime. Claudio Barrelier remains the principal accused for the homicide and alleged sexual abuse. Soledad Andreani, owner of the Ford vehicle used to transport the victim’s dismembered remains and proprietor of the Wachitas bar, was questioned for aggravated concealment. New parallel investigations target her for alleged sexual exploitation of minors and narcotics trafficking at the bar, where a former worker, identified only as “Carla,” reported under‑age prostitution and drug‑based payment.

Prosecutor Raúl Garzón is overseeing the femicide probe, while separate prosecutors from the narcotics and sexual‑integrity units are examining the bar’s operations. Osvaldo Fassett, previously implicated in the case, has also been re‑examined for aggravated concealment. Andreani denied covering up the killing during her interrogation. Municipal authorities had repeatedly revoked the bar’s license for violations, adding context to the criminal inquiries.

The investigations aim to determine the exact roles of each accused, the circumstances of Agostina’s killing and body disposal, and whether additional crimes occurred within the bar’s premises.
