Agostina Vega's Grandfather Denies Bar Wachitas Connection in Femicide Investigation

Miguel Heredia, the maternal grandfather of Agostina Vega, told Radio Mitre Córdoba that the widely circulated photo of the teenager and her mother was taken during a family outing at a club, not inside the Wachitas bar that has been mentioned in investigations. He rejected claims that the bar is linked to his granddaughter’s femicide, stating that the image shows the word "Atenas" in the background, indicating a different location.

Heredia also responded to testimony from a former employee of the bar, saying the alleged sexual crimes alleged at Wachitas are unrelated to the case. He said he met with prosecutor Raúl Garzón, expressed satisfaction with the progress, and noted that specialized prosecutors will investigate narcotics and sexual offenses at the bar. The family plans a public march on Friday to demand continued justice for Agostina.
