Agostino Abbatiello faces charges in alleged Penn State cocaine ring
Agostino Abbatiello, 24, appeared in court following his arrest for allegedly leading a cocaine trafficking operation at Penn State University. Prosecutors claim Abbatiello was at the top of a drug ring that operated between 2023 and 2024, allegedly receiving over $123,500 in payments.
Investigators allege that the operation involved fraternity parties at Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon, which included drugs and the hazing of pledges with cocaine. Abbatiello is among 14 people charged in connection with the ring.
During recent proceedings, a judge ruled that charges against Abbatiello could proceed. Other defendants, including Paul Robinson, Thomas Robinson, Muhammad Huraibi, and Robert Zanolla, have been involved in the legal process, with some waiving preliminary hearings and providing testimony. Abbatiello has since been released on bail.
