New voter lists for 2026 reveal significant demographic shifts in the Agra district assembly constituencies of Agra Cantt and Fatehpur Sikri ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections.
In the Agra Cantt constituency (Seat 87), which is reserved for Scheduled Castes, the voter base has seen a 28.13% decrease since 2022. The total number of voters has dropped from 467,201 to 335,784. Key social groups impacting the electoral balance include Jatav, Valmiki, Brahmin, Muslim, and Yadav communities. The current BJP MLA is Dr. G. S. Dharmesh.
In the Fatehpur Sikri constituency (Seat 91), a general seat, the voter base has decreased by approximately 7.87%, falling from 359,005 in 2022 to 330,745 in 2026. The political landscape has also shifted following the inclusion of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) into the NDA coalition. The constituency's politics are heavily influenced by Jat, Jatav, Lodhi, and Brahmin voters. The current BJP MLA is Chaudhary Babulal.
