Agra Woman Ruby Sharma Arrested for Murdering Husband and Hiding Body Under Bathroom Floor

Ruby Sharma of Agra was arrested after police uncovered that she had killed her husband, Surendra Sharma, and concealed his body beneath the concrete floor of their bathroom. The victim was reported missing for 45 days; Sharma filed a missing‑person complaint while continuing to appear distressed and even bathed in the same bathroom.

Investigators say Ruby drugged her husband with 15‑20 sleeping pills mixed into his food before the fatal assault. After the murder she dragged the body into the bathroom, covered it with soil and later hired a mason to apply plaster and tiles, effectively sealing the crime. A local carpenter later revealed he was paid Rs 500 to do the plaster work, unaware of the hidden corpse.

A routine police check of the freshly tiled bathroom led to the floor being broken open, where the decomposed remains were recovered and sent for post‑mortem. Ruby has confessed to the killing and is being held for interrogation while authorities continue to investigate possible accomplices.
