Agrate Brianza inaugurates European history cultural route
The town of Agrate Brianza has inaugurated ‘Percorso Europa – Unita nella diversità’, a permanent cultural itinerary located along the pedestrian path through the Gardens of Villa D’Adda.
The project aims to educate citizens, students, and visitors on the history of European integration through various interactive tools. The route is divided into three sections, including seven stations covering milestones such as the Ventotene Manifesto, the European Coal and Steel Community, the Treaties of Rome, and the introduction of the single currency. These stations feature QR codes that link to in-depth content on the municipal website.
A dedicated section for children includes eleven plaques featuring audio tracks about European symbols and institutions, guided by a character named ‘Stellina’. The most prominent feature of the installation is a large mural depicting twelve key figures from European history.
