Agremia and Veolia receive sustainability and energy efficiency awards

Agremia has been awarded the Environment Prize by the Community of Madrid for its ‘Ahorra con CAEs’ project. The initiative promotes the Energy Savings Certificate (CAE) system to encourage citizens and businesses to replace combustion boilers with aerothermal systems. To date, the project has managed over 1,000 energy efficiency actions and involves more than 300 associated companies. The model is designed so that the economic benefits of the certificates go directly to citizens to incentivize energy savings.

In Colombia, Veolia Aseo Norte de Santander received two Andesco Sustainability Awards, specifically in the Medium-Sized Company and Collaborator categories. The company was recognized for its work in Cúcuta, Los Patios, and Villa del Rosario. Key initiatives include the valorization of biogas at the Guayabal Intelligent Ecological Management Center, which captures methane to produce renewable electricity, and the ‘Ecohuertas Veolia’ program, which promotes food production and environmental education within local communities.
