Agricultural authorities conduct regional visits in Brazil and Portugal

In Brazil, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Irrigation, Fishing and Aquaculture (Seagri) conducted a technical visit to Mata de São João. The agenda included reviewing the Memorial JK project at the JK Cooperative, which aims to establish a museum, a producer shop, and a technical-agricultural educational center to preserve the history of the region's first agricultural settlement. Seagri also inspected the installation of Saboreio Indústria de Alimentos at Fazenda Coqueiral, a facility dedicated to producing sausages and smoked meats.

In Portugal, the Minister of Agriculture and Sea, José Manuel Fernandes, is scheduled to visit Nazaré to address local concerns in the fishing and agriculture sectors. The visit includes meetings at the Port of Nazaré to discuss port infrastructure and siltation, as well as discussions with agricultural producers regarding water management, farm modernization, and support for young farmers. Local authorities also intend to present projects related to irrigation and riverbed interventions.
