Agricultural authorities in Mexico monitor livestock and aquaculture

In Mexico, agricultural authorities are addressing two distinct regional developments. In the municipality of Pedro Escobedo, technical personnel from SENASICA and the Municipal Secretariat of Agricultural Development responded to reports of cattle screwworm in the Ajuchitlancito ejido. The intervention aims to monitor the situation, strengthen surveillance, and protect the local livestock population and rural economy through preventive measures.

Meanwhile, in Tamaulipas, the Secretariat of Rural Development, Fisheries, and Aquaculture evaluated four oyster farms in the Higuerillas area of the Laguna Madre. Technical inspections focused on measuring water physicochemical parameters and organism biometry to assess growth and environmental conditions. These evaluations aim to optimize production practices and support the aquaculture activities vital to local fishing communities.
