Agricultural authorities issue regulatory updates for farmers
The National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) has issued a reminder to agricultural operators regarding the mandatory documentation of phytosanitary treatments. As the fruit and grape harvest season begins, professional users must maintain a rigorous record of all treatments applied to crops.
According to ANSA, these records must be completed chronologically and immediately following each application. The registry must include details such as the product's commercial name, active substance, crop development stage, reason for application, quantities used, and the identity of the person performing the treatment. These official documents must be registered and sealed at ANSA territorial subdivisions and are subject to inspection during state controls.
In a separate administrative update, the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) is managing the validation of agricultural rent books and the payment of life annuities for 2025. The deadline for agricultural renters or their authorized representatives to submit necessary documentation for the 2025 annuity is August 31, 2026. Payments are scheduled to be completed in a single annual installment by November 30, 2026.
