Agricultural commodity markets show mixed trends for September 29

Agricultural markets showed mixed results on September 29, 2026. Corn prices saw slight declines, with December futures trading lower. US corn yield estimates are approximately 178.3 bushels per acre, resulting in a production estimate of 15.784 billion bushels, which sits just below the USDA forecast.

Soybean prices trended higher, supported by reports that China may be seeking offers for US beans at the Gulf and Pacific Northwest. While the removal of tariffs to China increases US competitiveness, US Gulf corn offers remain significantly higher than those from Brazil and Argentina.

In other commodities, wheat futures generally trended upward, while live cattle futures saw mixed movement. In Canada, pork prices were reported down compared to the previous day.
