Agricultural developments in Espírito Santo and Iomerê

In Espírito Santo, strawberries produced by local family farmers have been integrated into the school meal program for the state education network. This initiative, supported by State Law No. 11.137/2020, aims to provide high-quality food to students while creating a reliable market for rural producers and reducing food waste of highly perishable goods.

In a separate agricultural development, Estância do Sossego, based in Iomerê, achieved national recognition at Expointer 2026. The ranch was named Grand Champion of the Crioula Lageana breed after the female animal, Pombinha do Sossego, received the top title at the event held in Esteio, Rio Grande do Sul.
