Agricultural drones drive transformation in Brazil's agribusiness sector

The agricultural drone market in Brazil is experiencing rapid expansion, with the registered fleet growing nearly 29 times in just four years to exceed 10,000 units. This growth was highlighted during a DJI Agriculture event in Itajaí, which featured the launch of new products including the DJI Agras T55 and T100 Dual Battery drones.

Data from the National Union of Agricultural Aviation Companies (SINDAG) indicates that these technologies are now being used across a wide range of crops, including soy, corn, sugarcane, coffee, and pastureland. Beyond operational efficiency, experts from the Brazilian Institute of Agricultural Aviation (IBRAVAG) suggest that drone technology is serving as a vital tool for rural revitalization by attracting and retaining younger generations in the agricultural workforce through high-tech employment opportunities.
