Agricultural experts advance soil health technologies in Chile and Spain

International experts and industry leaders are focusing on new technologies to promote soil health and sustainable agriculture. In Linares, Chile, the “Tecnologías para Suelos Vivos” seminar, organized by Corfo Maule, addressed strategies to strengthen agricultural soil functionality. Key topics included biodiversity, mycorrhizae, and holobiont-based agriculture to improve the regeneration of fruit trees and vineyards.

In Spain, the fifth edition of the Sustainable Soil Management Congress is scheduled for October 20, 2026, in Valencia. Organized by Grupo Interempresas and the Spanish Association of Agronutrient Manufacturers (AEFA), the event will focus on science and technology solutions to combat desertification and climate change. The congress aims to address challenges such as organic matter loss, soil degradation, and water availability to maintain farm profitability and efficiency.
