Agricultural experts issue climate forecasts for Argentina and Mexico
Agricultural specialists in Argentina and Mexico are providing climate forecasts to help producers prepare for upcoming seasonal shifts and weather phenomena.
In Argentina, the INTA Cuenca del Salado experimental station is organizing virtual sessions to address the El Niño phenomenon. Veterinarian Lucas Vignoni noted that extreme Pacific warming is driving these changes. The initiative aims to provide local recommendations regarding water risk, livestock health, and crop management to prevent extreme concern among producers, predicting a humid spring without catastrophic events.
In Mexico, specialist Juan Espinoza Luna will present a climate forecast for the 2026-2027 autumn-winter cycle in the Sinaloa Poniente River region. The briefing, held at the Asociación de Agricultores del Río Sinaloa Poniente (AARSP) in Guasave, focuses on variable conditions including high temperatures and humidity. The goal is to provide farmers with data-driven insights to improve planting strategies and crop management.
