Agricultural initiatives expand in Dominican Republic and Venezuela
In the Dominican Republic, the Consorcio de Productores Agrícolas Sostenibles del Valle de San Juan is organizing an agricultural marketing meeting scheduled for Saturday, August 22. The event, to be held at the UASD-San Juan auditorium, has confirmed participation from various international and domestic figures, including representatives from Canada, New Jersey, and Costa Rica, as well as local agricultural entrepreneurs and officials.
In Venezuela, authorities in Guárico state have established a State Staff for the Characterization of the Bovine Herd. Led by Governor Donald Donaire, the initiative aims to strengthen food sovereignty and regional economic development. Starting August 24, a multidisciplinary team will conduct a massive deployment across 39 parishes and 15 municipalities to create an updated database of the livestock inventory. The plan aims to register approximately 1,800,000 head of cattle to provide better protection and support for small, medium, and large-scale producers.
