Agricultural machinery updates in Poland
Agricultural machinery developments in Poland include new commercial offerings and innovative custom-built solutions for farmers.
Agro-Max, based near Żuromin, has introduced the Max Disc 3,0, a compact disc harrow with a 3.0-meter working width. Designed for smaller farms with lower horsepower, the machine requires approximately 90-100 HP. It features two rows of 560 mm serrated discs, rubber shock absorbers for protection against soil irregularities, and maintenance-free hubs to reduce service time. The unit weighs about 1200 kg and is capable of working at depths of 5 to 15 cm.
In addition to commercial products, farmers are utilizing DIY construction to optimize operations. One farmer constructed a 7.5-meter wide rake using components from older machines, costing only 700 PLN for the additional parts. Another specialized implement, a plow designed for forming and breaking up asparagus mounds, was built for approximately 8,000 PLN. This custom plow features adjustable front and rear discs to assist in mound formation and weed control.
