Agricultural monitoring and soil testing initiatives announced in Poland

Agricultural stakeholders in Poland are facing new monitoring and support initiatives. In the Lubaczów Municipality, farmers managing more than 1 hectare can apply for free soil monitoring tests. Funded by the municipality through an agreement with the District Chemical and Agricultural Station in Rzeszów, the program covers up to 5 samples per farm. The tests assess soil acidity (pH), macronutrients (phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium), and liming requirements. Applications open on May 18, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis for a limited pool of 65 samples.

Separately, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) has released satellite monitoring results for crop direct payments. Farmers should check the eWniosekPlus application for discrepancies. Plots marked in red or yellow indicate that the declared crop does not match satellite observations. To resolve these issues and avoid losing payments or eco-scheme eligibility, farmers are encouraged to submit 2 to 5 geotagged photos of their fields. These images will be analyzed using artificial intelligence to verify the actual state of the crops. The deadline to confirm facts or change declarations is September 15, 2026.
