Agricultural produce prices fluctuate in Catalonia and the Netherlands

Agricultural price reports from Catalonia and the Netherlands show varying trends in fruit and vegetable costs for late August and early September 2026.

In Catalonia, the Observatorio Agroalimentario de Precios recorded specific regional pricing for various produce. In Tarragona, chard was priced at 0.47 €/kg and green beans at 2.78 €/kg. In El Llobregat, cucumbers reached 1.80 €/kg, while in El Maresme, tender Perona beans were listed at 8.50 €/kg. Fruit prices included Gala apples at 0.60 €/kg and yellow peaches at 0.80 €/kg.

In the Dutch retail market, broccoli and blueberries saw price decreases. Broccoli prices fell by 11.6%, dropping from an average of 1.28 € to 1.13 € per 500 grams, driven by promotions at Albert Heijn and Plus. Blueberries also decreased by an average of 0.26 €, reaching 3.93 € per 300 grams. Conversely, strawberries were the only product to see a price increase, rising from 3.49 € to 3.59 €.
