The agricultural property Yatton in Central Queensland has sold at auction for $12.5 million. The 2,823-hectare operation is designed for backgrounding and features a mix of brigalow, softwood scrub, and river country along the Isaac River.
Improvements to the property include extensive pasture development, such as re-seeding with buffel grass, and a new set of steel cattle yards equipped with a double-deck loading ramp and a five-way drafting pound. The sale was conducted by Ray White Rural in Rockhampton.
In South Australia, the Vater family has listed a 1,104-hectare portfolio of broadacre properties in the Mid North for public auction on October 15. The aggregation includes four holdings located in the Saddleworth and Manoora districts: Greenhills, Crawfords, Przibillas, and Hogbens/Ricks.
The properties offer both cropping and grazing opportunities. The Greenhills farm, which includes 396 hectares of arable land, has been described by agents as one of the most significant holdings offered in the district in recent years.
