Agricultural sectors host livestock and dairy industry events in Costa Rica and Uruguay

In Costa Rica, the Corporación Ganadera (CORFOGA), through its brand CARNE & FUEGO, is hosting a two-day event at the Universidad Técnica Nacional (UTN) in Alajuela on October 23 and 24. The celebration for National Beef Day will feature a meat festival with beef and buffalo tastings, live music, and free educational workshops focused on meat cutting and grilling techniques.

In Uruguay, the EEMAC dairy platform is conducting a dissemination day for the FPTA 421 project. The initiative focuses on redesigning intensive pasture-based milk production systems to evaluate the economic, productive, and environmental impacts of different feeding and housing strategies. The session includes field visits to examine manure management and pasture rotation to optimize nutrient use and animal welfare.
