Agricultural sectors in Cuba and Argentina advance infrastructure and policy goals

In Cuba, the Empresa Agroindustrial de Granos Fernando Echenique (Granmas) is advancing infrastructure investments in the Combate del Cerro business unit in Bartolomé Masó. The project includes the construction of a new 55-ton dryer designed to modernize grain production, reduce losses, and improve the quality of rice and other crops. This initiative is part of a national technological modernization program aimed at enhancing food security and regional distribution stability.

In Argentina, the Bolsa de Cereales, the Argentine Agro-Industrial Council (CAA), and the Centro de Corredores met with Chief of Cabinet Diego Santilli to establish a shared agricultural agenda. The discussions focused on reducing the tax burden, improving sector competitiveness, and advancing strategic infrastructure projects. Key legislative priorities identified include a modern regulatory framework for biofuels and the modernization of the Merchant Marine to support international trade and renewable energy.
