In Bavaria, Germany, Finance Minister Albert Füracker and Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) President Günther Felßner discussed immediate relief for farms, particularly pig farmers facing existential threats from declining prices. Proposed measures include unbureaucratic tax deferrals and adjustments to income tax prepayments based on current earnings to ensure liquidity.

In Switzerland, National Councilor Kilian Baumann has called for solidarity contributions from large agricultural corporations, such as Nestlé and Syngenta, to offset losses caused by extreme heat. The heat has led to dried pastures, fodder shortages, and crop failures. The Swiss Farmers' Union is seeking higher producer prices to cover rising irrigation and production costs, though officials emphasize that these costs should not be passed on to consumers.
