Agricultural Social Insurance Fund launches national safety competition for students

The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) Regional Branch in Białystok has announced the first edition of the national competition for agricultural school students, titled ‘Safety in Agriculture – Knowledge for the Future’. Held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the initiative is part of the international ‘Vision Zero’ strategy aimed at reducing workplace accidents and occupational diseases among farmers.

The competition is open to upper secondary students with an agricultural profile across Poland. It consists of three stages: a school-level online knowledge test, a regional stage involving theoretical and practical tasks at eight partner universities, and a central stage featuring individual design projects focused on farm safety.

The final gala to announce winners and present awards is scheduled for December 11, 2026, in Warsaw. Regional prizes include cash awards up to 2,500 PLN, while central stage prizes include up to 4,000 PLN for first place.
