Agricultural subsidies approved in Moldova and requested in Romania

In Romania, over 400 farmers in Vaslui County have applied for state aid targeting the cattle and pig sectors. This support scheme was established in response to the crisis in the Middle East. The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) Vaslui will conduct administrative controls to verify eligibility. Each beneficiary can receive a maximum of 50,000 euros. Nationally, budgets are set at over 54 million euros for the cattle sector and approximately 11.5 million euros for the pig sector. If eligible requests exceed the available budget, funds will be distributed proportionally.

In Moldova, the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) approved agricultural subsidies totaling approximately 11.3 million lei during September.
